Sauerkraut is not German
Written by John Lewer

Oh no it isn’t….. Oh yes it is!

Sauerkraut is not German, its Chinese. It was eaten in China at least 200 years before Christ.

Swiss steak isn’t Swiss, Russian dressing isn’t Russian, English muffins aren’t English, and chop suey is not Chinese; they’re all American.

French fries are not French, they’re Belgian.

One has to eat 11 pounds of potatoes to put on 1 pound of weight – a potato has no more calories than an apple.

Baby - cut carrots aren’t baby carrots. They’re actually full sized ones peeled and polished down to size. And there is nothing small about their current popularity, about 25 percent of California’s fresh carrot crop as turned into “babies”.
